This collection serves as a curated retrospective of Alexander Rivera’s furniture and sculptural works created during his tenure at Bond Hardware from 2018 to 2021. Spanning e-commerce launches to Art Basel exhibitions, these pieces transcend traditional design, offering a convergence of art, materiality, and functionality. Highlights include the provocative ‘Giant Nail’ sculpture, playful resin installations, and minimalist furniture meticulously crafted from Carrera marble—each item embodying a distinct dialogue between industrial form and conceptual artistry. In close collaboration with creative director Dana Hurwitz, Rivera navigated a seamless design process that merged creative vision with technical precision. Over the course of the six-month production phase, Rivera was instrumental in producing CAD files for CNC waterjet cutting, sourcing premium materials, and liaising with fabricators across Greenpoint, Brooklyn. This body of work reflects a thoughtful balance between aesthetic innovation and pragmatic craftsmanship, standing as a testament to the fusion of process and art inherent in Bond Hardware’s ethos.
